What are Shirataki Noodles?

Shirataki noodles come from the root of the Konjac plant grown in Japan and China. They are thin, low carb, translucent traditional Japanese noodles that are composed of a dietary fiber called glucomannan. They contain very few calories and carbohydrates. Best of all, the Shirataki noodles take on the flavor of any sauce or spice that you combine them with and are a great addition to your meals.

Benefits Of Eating Shirataki Noodles

Shirataki noodles slow digestion and prolong the sensation of fullness and are an essential part of any weight loss program. Replacing one meal per day with the noodles will dramatically lower your total calorie consumption.

Drain the package and rinse thoroughly in a strainer or colander for about 1 minute. Lightly boil or microwave for 1 minute. Use as you would regular cooked noodles. Starting in the Attack phase, you can combine Shirataki noodles with any Dukan Diet approved foods to make a stir-fry, soup or to mix with a sauce of your choice.

Good noodles for spaghetti and meatballs. And not a ton of ingredients in them either, and still tastes mostly like regular noodles; when you add sause you can't tell the difference. May 5, 2015
Great for Gluten-Free and Grain-free folks! I really like these noodles. True, they don't have a lot of flavor on their own, but for those of us who are gluten-free or grain-free (or both like me) they are a very welcome substitute for traditional grain-based noodles! They cook up fast and just like the label says, they take on the flavor of whatever sauce you are cooking them in. They remind me of kelp or shirataki noodles, other favorites for me and also available on VC. Great in everything from chicken noodle soup, to spaghetti and meatballs to fried Szechuan noodles. So grateful that you carry these! October 28, 2014
not very good I was expecting something with a little bit more substance. Its like eating....I cant even describe it. there isn't even anything to chew. I still have a few bags in the fridge, but I should throw it out. June 10, 2014
