BEST BEANS FOR GARLIC, BACON, BEAN STEW. It's so wonderful to be able to make a quick meal with these beans from a can without a harmful plastic liner. I use two of these large 29 ounce cans. First, I use a bottle of garlic in oil named brand pampa Garlic from Walmart. It's 3.5 ounces, and I pour off the oil into a deep stew pot. Then, I add no nitrite bacon from Walmart with the band name Hormel Natural Bacon and cover with lid and cook on each side until crispy. I remove it to a plate until cool enough to handle and break into bite sized pieces. While cooling, I add the two cans of Navy beans with juice and garlic from the 3.5 ounce jar to the bacon grease in the stew pot, and bring to a simmer. Then, I add the bite sized pieces of bacon and simmer about 20 or 30 minutes to meld flavors. Serve as is, or with spicy double corn cheese bread, or desired bread, like garlic bread. Enjoy!
