More soy sauce flavor than miso I was expecting more from this soup and I am sorry I bought 2 packages to try. The broth taste more like soy sauce than miso which was a huge let down for me. The only pieces in my envelope contained itty bitty squares of what is suppose to be tofu, a few pieces of fishy seaweed, and enough scallions to make my breath reek of onions. I will be adding additional soft tofu to the rest that I make in order to have more than a broth soup, which is what this is. I won't be buying it again. May 13, 2015
Soooo comforting... I love this soup and drink it everyday during the winter. It's more like a broth-- smooth, warm, and the scant bits of tofu, chewy seaweed, onions, and cabbage give it just the right amount of texture. It's absolutely delightful to put my hands around a cup of this during my lunch break... very soothing and yummy. I alternate fishing out the little pieces and sipping. This is good when I want a salt/savory fix, but my split pea soup would be too heavy. It's funny that someone mentions the salt content, because I always add salt to mine. Not too bad, but... Good ingredients with an ok flavor which is not bad but maybe an aquired taste. I really did not like the tiny pieces of dried seaweed which become giant and very tough once it's soup and that is why I wouldn't buy again. November 8, 2011
