  • Delicious Miso Soup... To Go!

Miso (pronounced meé-so) has deliciously nourished the Asian people for thousands of years. Originally reserved exclusively for nobility, miso was later shared more widely, and became a valued staple in kitchens throughout the Orient. Recently discovered in the West, miso soup is now enjoyed worldwide, thanks to its wonderful flavor and unique nutritional profile. Its popularity has soared with the growing awareness of the health benefits of traditional soy foods.

Japanese Restaurant Style Miso-Cup is born from ancient wisdom, combined with advancements in packaging technology. To begin, our miso craftsmen age certified organic soybeans with rice "koji", which is organic rice made "active" by a traditional starter culture. Sea salt regulates this aging process, which in time. yields rich and flavorful organic miso. Onion, yeast mushroom and seaweed extracts tastefully enhance complex miso flavors, while a tiny amount of alcohol naturally protects shelf life. We represent this Miso-Cup to you in our new Soft-Pack™ designed to offer you on-the-go convenience while retaining the incomparable taste of fresh miso soup. In a separate Soup Bits packet, we include our favorite miso soup additions of green onions, seaweed and freeze-dried tofu (another wonderful soy food), The result? Japanese Restaurant Style Miso-Cup boasts a fresh, full bodied flavor reminiscent of fine dining in your favorite Japanese restaurant. It is absolutely delicious!

All Miso-Cup varieties are low in calories, provide a welcome source of healthful isoflavones, and are free from cholesterol and trans fat.  Perhaps the first " convenience health food" Miso-Cup has been nourishing people on the go since 1978, and has earned international recognition as America's leading natural instant soup!

Step One - Squeeze out contents of one Miso-Cup Soft-Pack into a mug or bowl. Add 8 oz of hot water. Stir thoroughly.

Great Taste I have this at work stored in my locker and use it for a quick lunch or snack. If you like miso soup or broth type food this is actually pretty good. June 28, 2015
More soy sauce flavor than miso I was expecting more from this soup and I am sorry I bought 2 packages to try. The broth taste more like soy sauce than miso which was a huge let down for me. The only pieces in my envelope contained itty bitty squares of what is suppose to be tofu, a few pieces of fishy seaweed, and enough scallions to make my breath reek of onions. I will be adding additional soft tofu to the rest that I make in order to have more than a broth soup, which is what this is. I won't be buying it again. May 13, 2015
Soooo comforting... I love this soup and drink it everyday during the winter. It's more like a broth-- smooth, warm, and the scant bits of tofu, chewy seaweed, onions, and cabbage give it just the right amount of texture. It's absolutely delightful to put my hands around a cup of this during my lunch break... very soothing and yummy. I alternate fishing out the little pieces and sipping. This is good when I want a salt/savory fix, but my split pea soup would be too heavy. It's funny that someone mentions the salt content, because I always add salt to mine. Sometimes I will add an egg or wakame for more texture. Yum September 25, 2013
Tasy and convenient Tasy - my 11 year old like this in her thermos at school. One note - it is EXTREMELY high in salt! I add extra tofu. Would buy again. May 12, 2012
remarkably good! Tastes very much like it's from a Japanese restaurant. I actually love the seaweed, although the tofu is a bit chewy. With 3 in a pack, this is a great deal, and super for a quick lunch at work. November 17, 2011
