Not what i was expecting
This is the only product so far that we have tried from Vitacost that we were not crazy about. It was crumbly and dry and didn't taste very good. But, now we know that we will stick to our frozen veggie burgers.

Tasty and satisfying
These are great for a vegetarian option. They remind me of Near East pilaf mix, but spicier and in patty form. They are well seasoned and substantial. I put them between whole wheat bread and melted monterey jack on it and added salsa and onions. I'll be back for more.

Yummy
I was very surprised at how tasty these burgers turned out. I wanted something that could be kept in a pantry but wasn't expecting they would taste better than the frozen burgers.Box makes 6 generous patties. I have just ordered 2 more boxes and will keep these on hand from now on.

Great texture
These are the best we've been able to find. They are a little work and a little messy to make, but worth it. You have to first soak the dry mixture with hot water for 15 min. Then, You form into patties. I recommend using a 1/3 c measure for this. lightly oil the surface you are working on so your patties don't stick while you are forming them. Don't leave them thick, flatten them to about 1/2 inch or so. For the best taste & texture you are going to want to saute these in the oil of your choice until lightly browned on each side. Be gently as you turn them as they do fall apart more easily than real meat. My Dad, a meat and potatoes man, even liked these!

Truly Fantastic!
I found this product back in college. No local store carries it, so I had to order a couple of boxes. This makes a great flavorful veggie burger. No, it doesn't taste like meat, but it has a great texture. Long shelf life, easy prep (i use a little less water then the directions state, they hold together better,) tasty. On the bonus they are corn free, many veggie burgers on the market have some sort of corn in them.
