1 pouch Fig Food Chickpeas, drained but save the water
1 T. tahini
Juice from 1/2 lemon
1 chopped garlic clove
1/4 t. cumin
Dash of cayenne pepper
Salt & pepper to taste
Garnish: 1/4 c. chopped parsley, 1/2 t. paprika, 1 T. pine nuts, 1 T. extra virgin olive oil
Drain the chickpeas, and place in a food processor with the tahini, lemon , garlic, olive oil, cumin and cayenne pepper. Puree, and check for thickness. if too thick, add some of the bean water as desired. Salt & pepper to taste. make a beautiful presentation with the parsley, paprika, pine nuts, and the olive oil swirled about the top.
