FoodScience of Vermont Cal-Mag Citrate Powder -- 4.9 oz
No Stearate; Much Magnesium
The primary reason for buying this brand is that it doesn't contain any stearate - which often comes from cottonseed oil, one of the most polluted crops on the planet. Take it easy when you first start using it though - it contains lots of magnesium. Don't expect it to dissolve - calcium is a solid, crushed mineral (like rock). Just drink it quickly. Hold your breath if you don't like the taste - that way you can't smell/taste it. My nails are much longer and stronger. Hopefully, it's doing the same good work on the bones!!

Easy, great product.
I like this very much because it mixes perfectly into my morning protein shake. I take several supplements and Calcium, while important, is always HUGE as a pill~ I'd often just skip it. I was so happy to discover this alternative. It also mixes just fine in water. You can barely taste it. Good stuff!

good if you cant swallow calcium pills
I cant swallow large pills and all calcium pills are large and too hard to chew up.
It is true this powder does not dissolve well in water but I mix it in with jelly or a little honey or applesauce or even just tip it into my mouth under my tongue a little at the time and drink water to wash it down. It is not really unpleasant and works for me.

Cheap Ingredients and Doesn't Mix
This product uses the inferior form of vitamin D (Vitamin D2 vs the better form, D3). Granted, you're not buying this as a vitamin D supplement but the fact that they use a cheap form of vitamin D makes the product itself suspect.
Also, this product is disgusting. It doesn't mix at all. I even tried it in a protein shake using a blender and it wouldn't mix. The minute you let your liquid rest, the entire thing just sinks to the bottom of your glass. And if you drink it while it is "mixed up," your mouth is full of what feels like sand.
This is the absolute worst calcium/mag. supplement I've ever tried. The best product I've been able to find is the Lifetime Liquid Calcium/Mag supplement sold here on Vitacost.

Non-gritty, no bad taste
Calcium and magnesium pills can be so big. It's much more convenient to put a scoop (the small scoop that is included is cute) into my protein shake. I sent some to my sister as well and she loves it too.
