Gladrags The Moon Menstrual Cup - Size A -- 1 Cup
Stem came off
When I first tried the cup, I had to trim the stem, as it was irritating and caused soreness. I needed the stem for removal, although there are some women who are able to use this cup even after cutting the stem completely off.
I used it happily with a shortened stem for 8 months, then the stem snapped off, and I found it very difficult to remove! The cup was slippery and I had problems gripping it in order to remove it. Thankfully I didn't have to go to the doctor for removal, which I feared. It took me several tries, bearing down with my muscles, periodically over about three hours to remove the cup. I liked the cup until that incident. Now I use a different brand that has ridges on the stem and the bottom of the cup for easy removal.

Better than a Diva Cup!
I've had a Diva Cup for over five years and decided it was finally time to toss it out and buy new. Since the Moon Cup was $5 cheaper, I decided I'd try it. I was a little surprised - it looks larger in the lip and the tip is longer, but these both turned out to be great features! The seal is more snug on the Moon Cup, so I have much less leakage than I did with my Diva Cup, and also the longer tip makes extraction much easier. All-around, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I will be recommending this one from now on.

This definitely has a learning curve but once you insert it right, it is totally worth the investment. I've worn it to the beach on two consecutive days on my period and I could hardly tell I had it on. It is very comfortable and painless. The best part is that there's no chemicals close to my body and nothing to throw away.

Worth the money
The description of size A does say after "normal" childbirth, but I want to point out that if you've had a c-section you might want to choose size B. Just for clarification:) I have had 3 c-sections and am in my 30s, so while it might be a tad too large, its not very noticable at all. I also ended up trimming away all but a small nub of the "handle" because it was poking me uncomfortably :-P. I had no problems removing/inserting after trimming it.
That being said, this has freed up my wardrobe considerably, only having to wear a liner at night to prevent leaks. I love the idea of not having to buy pads, and keeping waste at a minimum. I love it!

I was unsure if I would like this product, but it had great reviews and I love it so far. It took a few tries to figure out the perfect way to use it..but I really like it. I do not find it difficult to place or remove and find that it will save me $ in the long run! Great price for it on vitacost too!
