Didn't last I've been using a different brand of natural hair color but based on good reviews decided to give this a try. It wasn't a true black and after only a week the color started fading. Now 2 weeks later its very faded. I will not use it again. March 15, 2013

Great Hair dye! I started using this product because I felt guilty damaging my hair with box stuff and I love it!!!! it dyes very well! I recommend it to those women who want to take care of their hair. It dyes black but not as fake as the box dye(which I love) this is very black but very natural. I t last about a month or two but it's mostly just because my hair is growing out. Sometimes what I do is use the box kind one time then I use this natural one, i switch it! my mom also uses this product and loves it! December 28, 2012

Awesome Product I've been coloring my hair for over 20 years, and this by far is my favorite hair color. I developed a sensitivity to the big name brands which included a case of chemical burning (the last straw--I was ready to just go gray after that!). I started looking for something much less caustic, and after lots on online research found Herbatint. Herbatint doesn't have a strong smell at all, which means I don't smell like chemicals for 3 days after (my husband is thrilled). I get lots of compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. I was worried that this would fade quickly, and that's not even an issue. Highly recommended! July 17, 2012

Good! I no longer want to use chemical laden hair dyes and wanted to try a safer dye. I'm pretty happy with this.It does cover all grey well and color is rich and deep. I'm glad I no longer have to suffer the chocking smell of regular dye! It rinses away quicker than the other dyes and thought maybe color wasn't going to hold but I'm glad I was wrong. It does hold and well.Will buy again I'm very satisfied with it. Those who have left bad reviews maybe didn't wash hair with a shampoo that REMOVES product build up the day before and WITHOUT using conditioner. If you use conditioner and use a moisturizing shampoo before dyeing,It isn't going to penetrate well enough. May 16, 2012

Herbatint is the finest, most natural permanent hair colouring gel free of harsh chemicals and Ammonia. Herbatint offers a safe, gentle and effective way to colour your hair and cover grey with just 1 application.

Depending on the length of your hair, Herbatint can be used for 1 application or can be saved for a second application when the colour has grown out. Herbatint can be used even if a chemical dye has been used to colour your hair and if your hair has just been permed.

Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel 1N Black Directions

Use only on dry hair. Using a plastic or a glass container only, combine equal amounts of Herbatint with the glycol developer (included in pack). Make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended before application. Put on the gloves (included in pack).

For non-treated hair, apply colour mixture onto dry hair, making sure that the hair shaft from root to end is fully covered. Wait for 40 minutes. For previously dyed or permed hair, apply a portion of the mixture on dry roots first, wait 30 minutes and then apply the remaining mixture onto the rest of the hair. Wait an additional 10 minutes.

Rinse out Herbatint mixture thoroughly with water until the rinse water is clear, then wash hair using a natural pH shampoo such as Herbavita Normalising Shampoo. Then apply a natural pH conditioner such as Royal Cream. Wait 5 minutes and rinse again.

Glycol Developer: water hydrogen peroxide, etidronic acid, wild marjoram extract, thyme extract, cinnamon extract, rosemary extract, lavender extract, golden seal root extract, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, simethicone. Royal Cream conditioner: water, mallow extracts, rosemary extract, behentrimonium chloride, wheat bran lipids, fragrance.

Warnings

This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary patch test, according to accompanying instructions should be made prior to each application.
This product must not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows. To do so may cause blindness.
Avoid contact with eyes. Should mixture come into contact with eyes, rinse immediately with cool water.

Allergy Test
Wash an area of skin about the size of a dime inside your elbow. Pat dry and apply a few drops of a mixture of HERBATINT® color and Glycol Developer. Leave uncovered and undisturbed for 48 hours. Do not use this product if any burning, itching or abnormal reaction occurs in or around the test area.
