Works well, but terrible texture I've been using coconut oil & raspberry seed oil for sunscreen for about a year now with good results, but I thought I'd try a product with a known SPF since my own blend is a mystery. I thought that this would be a good moisturizer/sunblock combo for daily use in the summer. Sadly, it just hasn't worked for me. I hoped it would be an oil, but it's more of a lotion with a texture somewhere between whipped cream and cottage cheese. It's nearly impossible to spread evenly as it's surprisingly dry. I've also yet to be able to rub it in well enough to lose the tell-tale zinc oxide ghost pale haze. I'll use up the bottle since it was pretty expensive for the amount you get, but the only way I can make it work is if I blend a little of the sunblock with a generous amount of coconut oil. I gave it an extra star for at least working well, I spent a few hours outside in full sun the other day and did not burn. April 29, 2015
Good sunscreen I was looking for a sunscreen that was natural, worked well, and had good reviews. The sunscreen I usually purchase was out of stock, so I thought I'd give this one a try. It doesn't have the best smell(not bad, just not much of a fragrance) but it works well. If you are looking for a natural sunscreen that doesn't cost a fortune, this is a good choice. My first go-to sunscreen is Caribbean Solutions Sol Guard with an SPF of 25. But this is a great runner-up for the size and price. August 13, 2014
READ BEFORE BUYING Okay, so I'm a master cosmetologist and a studying naturopath, so I guess you could say I'm obsessed with product ingredients. After thoroughly researching each ingredient and using this product multiple times, I highly recommend this sunscreen to those with similar skin types and lifestyles. However, IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE... here are the pros and cons so you can decide for yourself... PRO'S: GREAT for dry/combination skin, ZERO toxic ingredients (including no titanium dioxide, which is rare for a sunscreen), will not only protect your skin from the sun but is the only sunscreen I've ever used that actually left my skin in better condition, moisturizes without a moisturizer underneath, great for those makeup-less days spent out in the sun, great value and price, good for kids (especially those with allergies and sensitive skin), I even had success dabbing the excess lotion on my lips and eye skin without any irritation CON'S: very greasy, takes a LONG time to absorb, leaves skin shiny (especially at first), poor choice for oily skin, will make acne appear more noticeable (although I doubt it would aggravate or cause breakouts), gritty texture that needs to be warmed up in hands prior to application, would not recommend applying ANY makeup over this sunscreen, not sweat-proof or water-proof (I can go on a nice, long walk with it on, but heavy-duty workouts are definitely out of the question) That said, I LOVE it, but would definitely not recommend it for everyone. Hope this helped! April 27, 2013
