Gag inducing
I really wanted to like this toothpaste. I actually thought that since it included fruit enzymes it would be a citrus or fruit flavor. I wouldn't have minded a mild mint, but the peppermint flavor of this is so overpowering I was literally gagging. I couldn't brush my teeth for the full length of time because the taste was so overwhelming. I wish they had other flavor options for this product.

Pleasant, no strong aftertaste
The clear gel is soft enough that it squeezes out of the tube easily but thick enough that it doesn't run off my brush. It is very mild and freshens the breath without leaving a strong, lingering aftertaste.

Works well
Seems to clean just as good as regular toothpaste. This doesn't have the typical ingredients (sodium laurel sulfate (detergent), fluoride (hardens teeth), and abrasives (polishes off tartar). The enzymes in this might do an adequate job cleaning. I can't tell if it does any "brightening." Perhaps your teeth are brighter than they would be if you didn't brush at all.
On the recommendation of my dentist, I use a fluoride rinse after brushing.
