Life Extension Buffered Vitamin C Powder -- 1 lb

This is very good product if you want a highly concentrated buffered vitamin C powder without sugar or artificial sweeteners/flavorings. Although not delicious-tasting, it has a fairly neutral taste - I drink it in plain water.

Effective way to get vitamin C
The "Pleasant taste" is a relative statement. If you try other buffered vitamin C products, you will find that they taste so bad they make you gag. I have tried several buffered C products, and this is by far the most palatable though I admit it doesn't taste "good". It is quite acceptable mixed with fruit juice. It is true that if you do not use the product up within about a year, evidently the moisture in the air will make the buffering agents cake and turn yellow brown. For those of us who like the benefits of high doses of vitamin C, this is the best way to take it without the potential stomach irritation from acidic vitamin C powder. If you use buffered C on a daily basis you will run out far before it turns color.

Corn
The Life Extension website states that this product contains corn, contrary to the Vitacost website.

This vitamin is a mistake
I did not consume this as fast since I have other multivitamins as well and was using this as a booster.
Upon opening it had awful chemical smell, probably of the minerals but I never smelled it in any single or multivitamin ever. Few months later it literally became a solid rock and it turned color from pure white to sandy dark color - no joke. I had to use hammer to crush up this powder but a week later I just threw it out.

Nasty Stuff
The directions say to mix with water for a "pleasant tasting drink"...don't believe it!! I tried it with water and with juice but this stuff is just awful. It's very acidic even though it's buffered and the flavor is anything but pleasant. I had to send it back.
