Light Mountain Color The Gray Dark Brown -- 7 fl oz
Took 10 years off my age!
Great Discovery! I am African-Caribbean with curly hair. My sister put this product in for me in her kitchen (that's how we do) and though I was skeptical, it worked well. The grey looked like dark red highlights when all was said and done. It was messy to apply but left no stains on the skin or scalp. More importantly, it left my hair shiny and silky, a far cry from the other all-natural product I used that had my hair feeling and looking like straw. I will be using this from now on and would highly recommend.

Messy but worth the effort
I am in my mid-40's with about 10% gray hair. I have very curly, dry brown hair. My hair has never felt better than after using this product! So soft and shiny, and the covered grays look like subtle highlights and totally natural.
I would definitely recommend to mix up the hennas early and let them sit for several hours. I let mine sit for almost 3 hours. It does say in the directions that this will help it all to go faster. It took only 15 minutes for part 1 and 45 for part 2.
Do the strand test as recommended.
I used a garbage bag clipped around my shoulders to keep my clothes clean.
I used a plastic grocery bag clipped around my head to keep from dripping.
If you wash your skin off quickly it does not stain your face.
If you wipe up where it drips quickly, it does not stain your floor or sink or tub.
Use the baking soda as recommended to help get the henna completely out of your hair
I only used half a package as my hair is medium length, so I will get 2 treatments out of one box, or 3 if I'm only doing touchups.
It really wasn't that bad of a process at all. Well worth the little mess to avoid toxic chemicals!
The first time I used it, the grays began to come back slowly within a week or two. I called the company, and they instructed me to leave on the Part 2 henna for 2 hours, instead of 45 minutes. I did this, and it was perfect. So if you are having this issue, just leave the Part 2 on for longer and it will be fine. They have great customer service, so if you have trouble, definitely call them first before you give up!

This henna worked great on my medium brown hair w/ over 50% gray. I admit at first, I was a little worried because my roots were a greenish tint. But this green washed out after a day or so, and it could have been due to the fact that I did not allow it to cure for 3 hours, only 8 or so minutes. You should let step 1 cure & step 2 cure for the longer amount of time, in my opinion. The end color was a rich brown/red with colored gray roots blending in very well. I added coffee, nutmeg, yogurt, so, my hair just smelled like coffee for a day or so. I also used the hair dryer to apply heat after step 2. I had been using Natural hair coloring kits without ammonia for several years, but this is the first time my hair actually felt healthy instead of dry afterwards. Love that!

Eliminate red roots!
I've used several high quality henna kits that claim to cover gray but most left me with with orange roots. I followed their directions, their tips, their tricks etc. and still I did not get the results that this product delivers. I get nice even color each time I use this product.. No guesswork. Light Mountain does not leave my hair as shiny as the other higher quality henna products did but that is easily solved with follow up conditioning. I do wish Light Mountain used a higher grade of henna but with same formula. Overall very happy with it.

This is the hair dye for me!
I cannot use regular hair dye, as I am allergic to a component of it. I LOVE Light Mountain, as henna is the active ingredient, I believe.
