Arjuna is used to support normal cardiac functions, counteracting the forces that increase the workload on the heart.  Arjuna has been used safely and effectively in India for many centuries.

1. Individuals of dominant Pitta or Kapha Doshas are susceptible to imbalances of their cardiac functions.  A Pitta person is naturally ambitious and driven.  When exaggerated these qualities cause imbalances, stress symptoms and inflammation, which affect the heart function.  Kapha people are naturally laid back and are not "high energy."  When out of balance Kapha types accumulate fat and by-products such as cholesterol which in turn can put extra workload on the heart.
2. Pitta people should try to reduce stress, lower caffeine intake and try Yoga.  Kapha folks should start a regimented excercise program.
3. Both Pitta and Kapha types should reduce intake of oily, heavy foods, alcohol, when out of balance.
