Newman's Own Organics Dried Fruit Apricots -- 6 oz
Not your typical dried apricot
These apricots are very tasty but they are not like the typical dried apricots that I am used to. They aren't very firm and they are very dark in color. They remind me more of prunes than apricots although they still taste like apricots. It seems like they let them ripen too much before they dried them. They are still very tasty, just different.

Organic, unsulphured apricots that are moist and flavorful??? Is it possible to find such a thing? YES! Right here. Newman's does it again. Totally beyond satisfied. I bought them to put into raw cookies and they didn't make it into the batch. We greedly ate them out of the bag because we had never tasted anything soooooo good.

A few were too dry. Otherwise, they taste great.

Super Moist and Delicious
My husband loves organic apricots. He prefers Newman's to the ones in the health food store (sold in bulk) because Newman's organic apricots taste fresher and retain their moisture. The ones in the health food store look old and have lost a lot of their moisture because each time an individual opens the lid to scoop out the apricots, air and other things get in.

Sweet and moist!
I thoroughly enjoyed these apricots and I intend to purchase them again. They are dark in color as they are UNSULPHURED! They are also a product of Turkey so I assume they are Turkish apricots (which are sweeter and less tangy than the kind grown in the USA). I haven't been able to locate organic "California apricots" which I actually prefer for their tangy sweet-tart flavor. Shiloh Farms used to distribute them. These are still very good and ORGANIC!
