Orgran Buckwheat Pancake Mix Gluten Free -- 13.2 oz
Stonemilled Buckwheat. Sweeten It Yourself.
Others rightly describe it as savoury not sweet; & you could make entrees w/ it. But we like sweet pancakes, so I add healthy brown liquid raw &/or Sweet Leaf powdered white Stevia in this unusual 50% buck'wheat' gluten-free pancake mix.
For add'l flavor I sometimes add leftover pumpkin pie filling or fruit puree &/or extracts/essential oils.
I top the pancakes w/ real maple syrup on Cabot's spray whip cream.
50% healthy stone-milled buck'wheat'--not actually wheat, a fruit seed related to rhubarb--& the other half rice (likely white since doesn't say whole-grain brown rice), tapioca starch, fattening corn, & raising agents baking soda & harmless Monocalcium Phosphate.
The box says "10 servings per pack" but it depends on pancake size & if you add purees. When I add leftover homemade pumpkin pie filling + just enough water for pancake consistency, I use only half a box of this mix for ~25 small (~5 per pan). ~ Enjoy :)

Great mix - can't believe it is not "real"wheat
Gluten-free has been a challenge for my 6 yr old and his love of pancakes. These pancakes are an outstanding substitute. I actually do half milk and half water in this mix (instead of 8 oz water and 3 oz milk as directed). The batter is good and thick so spread it in the pan and you are off to the races. I keep my pantry stocked!! So glad I stumbled on these.

Learned I don't like buckwheat...taste is to strong for me...would make a good savory pancake.

I had to try different methods of making these pancakes because the first time they were very dry. I read straight from the box instructions, and they didn't turn out that well at all. Next I added a little bit of a banana, and parts were dry and other parts that had the banana were moist. The third time I added a lot of bananas and some walnuts, and it didn't taste too bad at all.
