Glad for the lard!
Yes, the first ingredient in this product is lard, but that's great. I'd rather have lard on my skin, from an animal, than petroleum jelly, which is what many calendula products use as a base. I'm ordering another 300 g. today.

Calendula ointment ingredient
I was disappointed to see that purified lard was used as an ingredient of this product. I used calendula ointment of other companies before, and none of those had any animal product as an ingredient. I cannot and will not use it, and will caution my friends about this. I should have paid attention to the ingredients, but never thought of an animal product as a part of this.
