RedBarn Naturals™ Smoked Hooves Dog Treat -- 10 Pack
Very Small, Use For Small Dogs Only!
I buy hooves at the local feed stores for my dogs all the time and they love them. The dogs are both heavy chewers, one a Malamute, the other a Springer Spaniel.
These hooves would be great if they were a decent size, but they're too small to give to my dogs unless I have them confined where they can't get out of my sight while chewing. The dogs like to go outside to their "place" and lie there and chew on their goodies, and with the hooves I get locally, that's fine. I know they'll be fine for several hours because the local hooves are large enough that they couldn't accidentally inhale them if they run around with them. These hooves are very small and I wouldn't recommend them for any dog over 35 lbs (if that) or any dog with a larger mouth, like some smaller Springers - my boy is a large guy at 58#.
My dogs love them, but have them down to a dangerously small size in about an hour, so I have to lock them inside (they have a doggie door) if I give these hooves to them, and then take the hooves away once they have them partially chewed. And they hate that, so I'm going to give the rest of the bag to someone with a much smaller dog who loves to chew.
If your dog isn't a heavy chewer, they may or may not like these - if they'll chew a small Nylabone (the hard kind, not the edibles), they'll most likely like these.

My dog Rex, a Standard Poodle, loves Oinkies and Nylabones, so I thought this would be a good addition for him. The hooves are hard as rocks (Fine for when they are on the horse) and my dog could not chew them. They are not chewable or edible or even scratchable. I bought them to up my order for free shipping. It would have been cheaper to pay the shipping. I will have to throw them away, I wouldn't even donate them.
