Is Your Salt Real?

Real Salt means - well, real, authentic salt. A quick glance at the ingredients label on most salts might surprise you! Many salts contain anti-caking agents and even dextrose (sugar). Others have been heat processed and stripped of their natural trace minerals. Real Salt brand, on the other hand, is unrefined and full of natural minerals and flavor - the way salt was meant to be savored.

The Real Salt® Story

Long ago in what is now Central Utah, Native Americans found a mineral-rich salt deposit from an ancient sea when they saw deer eating the soil. In 1959, Milo and Lamar Bosshardt were struggling to keep their family farm afloat when they discovered that this salt deposit extended beneath their land. They began selling the salt to local farmers for their animals and heard reports the farmers insisted this "real" salt be made available for everyday use, and the brand was born.

Today we still bring Real Salt to you in its natural state - without additives, chemicals or heat processing of any kind. Real Salt's unique pinkish appearance and flecks of color come from more than 60 naturally occurring trace minerals. The result is a delicate "sweet salt" flavor that you may not have experienced before.

Real Salt means real flavor. Take a taste test! First taste Real Salt, then try any other salt - the difference will amaze you!

The BEST Sea Salt I love this salt! It makes everything taste good and if you read up about it on the internet you will find out why it is better than all other sea salts on the market. It is not bleached or refined. It has all its' natural minerals in tact and is super healthy. It also comes from the best source: an ancient seabed that is not subject to pollution or contaminates that many of the seas face today. July 17, 2013
Great flavor I got a sample of this and now I can't live without it. I usually make my own food because of the health benefits and I normally DO NOT salt my food until it is on the table. A little of this goes a long way. I used to think "salt is salt" but not anymore! You won't regret trying it. May 14, 2013
Great salt, not loving the "story" on the bottle. Okay, my rating is for the salt and I think it's great. Will always buy it. I think the problem in our country is definitely all the sodium in processed/packaged foods. And the sodium in fast food or even restaurant food. . . yikes! If we used natural, pure, fresh foods we would be fine salting it however much we wanted to. And this would be the salt we should use. However, I'm not too fond of the "millions of years ago," statement on the back. Not my beliefs at all. But, I've gotten accustomed to explaining it to my children seeing as how the "old earth theory" is so prevalent in our culture. November 12, 2012
Real Salt 9 0z. Absolutely love this salt! October 11, 2012
Too much grit! I really wanted to love this product, and I'm really not picky, but... I recently made spaghetti and used this in the homemade sauce and in the water to boil the pasta. A lot of it sank to the bottom in the boiling water and did not melt, but I didn't think too much of that, UNTIL I TASTED IT WITH THE SAUCE. It felt like I was eating sharp sand and I was seriously afraid I was going to damage my teeth. I had made a huge pot of sauce and couldn't even share it with anyone, as I figured they would think there was dirt in it. I won't be buying it again. I will subsitute the Himalayan pink salt the next time. Sorry RealSalt... September 19, 2012
