Beta-sitosterol
Description: Beta-sitosterol is a plant component (a sterol) which has been shown effective in the treatment of high cholesterol1 and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.2 It is also suspected that beta-sitosterol may inhibit the growth of cancer cells.3

Natural Sources: Corn Oil, Rice Bran, Soybeans, Wheat Germ.

Useful in treatment of: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, high cholesterol.

Recommended Dosage: The recommended dose for reduction of blood cholesterol is approximately 50 mg daily. 60 to 130 mg daily appear effective in the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.4

Contraindications: None.
