| Description: Fo-Ti (Polygonum multiflorum) is an American-made name for the Chinese herb he-shou-wu. It has long been used in China to treat premature aging, weakness, vaginal discharge, infertility, and impotence. The active components of fo-ti are unknown. Research has shown, however, that the root lowers cholesterol and decreases occurrence of atherosclerosis.1 It also is believed to improve immune function and to stimulate the formation of red blood cells. Useful in treatment of: atherosclerosis, Constipation, Fatigue, high cholesterol, immune function. Recommended Dosage: As a tea (1 teaspoon root in 1 cup water, steep 10 minutes), three times daily.
