Since 1942, SHILOH FARMS has offered great tasting organic and natural food for people who enjoy the simple pleasure and wholesome nourishment nature provides.


To Cook: Combine 1 part Teff to 3 parts water in saucepan. Bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer covered for 15-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. For extra flavor, lightly roast grain before cooking.


Serving Suggestions: Delicious in porridge, stews, stuffing, and pilaf, teff is delicious cooked alone or in combination with other grains and vegetables.


Teff is delicious cooked in combination with brown rice, millet, couscous, buckwheat groats (kasha) and corn meal. The total ratio of grain to boiling water is 1:3.


Best if kept in cool, dry area.

It's like porridge I didn't realize that teff cooked up like a porridge. I suppose you could use it as a healthier replacement for polenta. The taste is pretty bland but it's a high protein grain. December 20, 2014
Whole Grain with a cream of wheat likeness I love the benefits of whole grains and this one is a special treat. A whole grain that cooks up more like a refined one. Teff is one of my favorites for any meal. Creamy for breakfast or more like polenta for lunch or dinner. Great as a teff pudding for dessert too. February 8, 2014
