Source Naturals Brown Rice Protein Powder -- 16 oz
Good basic rice protein powder
When blended in a smoothie with ingredients like fruit, coconut milk (or other milk), and honey or xylitol to sweeten, the taste is very mild. I like the fact that this is just the rice protein with no other ingredients so you can customize your protein drink or cereal without having to worry about ingredients you don't want. Plus it is made from non-GMO and sprouted. I got the 16 oz the first time but will be ordering the larger size in the future.

I like how much protein this product offers, however the taste is awful! I'm not a picky eater and I wasn't expecting this product to taste that great, but the taste is very strong, bitter, and chalky. It overpowers anything you mix with it. You really have to add a lot of fruit, juice, soy milk, etc. to try and make this drink somewhat tolerable. Or just hold your breath and chug it down quick! I definitely like pea protein better, even though it doesn't taste that great on it's own, you can easily blend it with a banana and it's pretty good.

So tough to get down
This is my first time using rice powder and I immediately remembered that a friend of mine used it as an facial exfoliant. It is just that gritty. I added nut better, frozen berries, almond milk.... and it was just so painful to finish since I don't ever want to waste food. I bought this size since I didn't want to invest in something bigger and I am glad I was cautious. If this is your first time then definitely ask to try a friend's before spending the money.

No Hot Flashes at Night
I was making protein malts from Whey, but it was causing me to have hot flashes at night. After an internet search I learned that this is common with whey, so I switched to the brown rice protein and have not repeated this problem.
