Source Naturals Pea Protein Power™ -- 32 oz
Meets my needs for protein
As a gluten-free vegetarian, I find this product very useful as a source of concentrated, non-animal protein. It has very little taste & is not sweetened, which I like. I put it in my morning smoothies with a lot of other fruits, greens & supplements, & it doesn't interfere with their flavors.. I also sometimes combine it with Plant Fusion Chocolate Rice Protein Powder, also available at Vitacost, which gives me a big dose of good-tasting high quality protein.

Do not like the taste at all. even after adding banana or some other fruit wont take away the grittiness. Definitely won't recommend it at all.

Does the job
This is good for a significant source of protein that doesn't include soy and is non-GMO. I add it to green smoothies and it does change the flavor and doesn't mix that well (even in the Nutribullet) - still a little gritty. But I do like having the extra protein from a healthy source.

Purest form! YES!
After reading the panel of every pea protein offered, I bought this. Now, it IS not so good plain in water because there are no sweetners or conditioners. However, I mixed a little raw green stevia into the large container and voila! It's as good as the pricy stuff and loads healthier and cheaper. I tried one brand that was "pure," in which stevia was the only sweetner added. That brand was pukey sweet and therefore very limiting in what it could be used for. I use this in smoothies, oatmeal, green drinks, sometimes just water, and also small amounts of this in homemade dressings, soups or whatever!

Great in fruit or veggie smoothies
I ordered this because the Vitacost brand pea protein powder, which I loved to eat straight and mix in smoothies was out of stock. At first, I was very disappointed with the taste of the Source Naturals Pea Protein Powder as it has a strong pea taste and definitely not palatable to eat by itself or to mix with my almond milk, cocoa powder, banana and chia seed smoothies. But since I did not want to throw away the brand-new bottle, I decided to try it in my morning breakfast fruit smoothies (whole orange, banana, Green Plus Wild Berry, avocado, lime, stevia, pea protein and water) and was very pleasantly surprised to discover that I liked the taste. Plus not having any added sweeteners and a much lower calorie count than the Vitacost brand really helped. I have since been re-ordering whenever I run out. I still love and continue to order the Vitacost brand pea protein powder for my chocolate almond smoothies and use both brands. Each has their own unique taste profile that works for different types of smoothies.
