I am not a fan of protein powders as most are full on junk. I was happy to find this one was pretty simple in terms of ingredients. Based on reviews of other flavors, I settled on natural as I didnt want anything to overpower my smoothies and it doesnt. It blends pretty well with my banana, mixed berry and spinach smoothies not to mention I love that its a plant based protein. I typically use a hemp protein powder but this will also be a staple in my pantry!
Im not sure how this would taste with plain almond milk or water, but i specifically bought it for my smoothies so for that purpose its great!

I have tried several of the protein powders from Vitacost, & they all have good qualities. But I like the extensive amino acid profile, the varied sources of protein, & the fact that it's very a low carb & high protein formulation. I use it every day in my smoothies, w/ spinach or other greens, almonds, raw ginger, goat yogurt or kieffer, various fruits, & water. This unsweetened variety does not overpower the taste of the other ingredients, & I sometimes mix it with the chocolate flavor of this same brand for a little more sweetness. As a gluten free vegan, I depend on this for my main protein.

I wanted a truly plain dairy/casein free protein powder so I could jazz it up to my liking w/o added junk that the flavored varieties have. I like to mix mine w/dark chocolate almond Silk. Using a blender would probably be best to avoid chunkiness.

Great protein blend. Love it!
I usually make a green smoothie with fruit and leafy greens. Since I’ve received the Warrior Blend Protein Powder, I now add it to my smoothies.
I have noticed that my energy and alertness is improved. The blend has good staying power as it relates to being satisfying and staving off hunger. It is especially helpful because I have late classes and I can drink it before class. Although it has a clean flavor and tastes good dry, just out of the box, it still takes some time to get used to it mixed into a smoothie. It is a very finely powdered mix but the grain is still noticeable in a smoothie.
I am happy with all the health benefits and increased alertness that it gives me so it's a worthwhile tradeoff. Usually, once I mix my favorite ingredients, I just focus on all the other tasty things I enjoy about my smoothie and just get over the fine grainy texture.
I also buy coconut flakes and flax seeds to blend in with the smoothie when I use almond milk as a liquid base. Some of my other smoothies I would mix with orange juice as the base.
This is working well for me so far and I'm loving it.
In addition, it doesn’t upset my stomach. Other protein mixes don't settle well with me overtime. I've tried Muscle Milk powder, Whey Protein and Soy-based proteins, and even Symmetry VS Vanilla Protein Shake. All of these have upset my stomach. I've ended up having to give or throw them all away.
Warrior Blend Natural Protein Powder is a God-send.
