Virbac C.E.T.® Oral Hygiene Rinse Description

  • Home Dental Care
  • For Dogs and Cats
  • For Veterinary Use Only

C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse contains ZincChlorhexidate™, a synergistic combination of two effective oral hygiene compounds to guard against plaque without brushing. ZincChlorhexidate combines chlorhexidine, the most effective antiplaque agent available, and zinc gluconate, a compound which inhibits plaque and calculus maturation, enhances the antiplaque activity of chlorhexidine and reduces bad breath. C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse also contains cetylpyridinium chloride for fresher, clean-smelling breath.

Pets Have Teeth Too!

Periodontal disease affects 85% of adult dogs and cats and can lead to pain, bad breath and tooth loss. Even worse, chronic oral infection can spread harmful bacteria to other parts of the body, including the lungs, heart, liver and kidneys. Fortunately most periodontal disease is preventable through a program of oral hygiene and regular professional care.

C.E.T. Home Dental Care features three easy options to make caring for your pet's oral health as easy as 1-2-3!

C.E.T. Home Dental Care - 3 Easy Options to Better Oral Health

The C.E.T. 3 Easy Options method provides dental care options for all pets, regardless of size, age, temperament, or time constraints of busy owners. Begin with the option where you and your pet are most comfortable, or use all of the options in combination for fresh breath, better health and longer life for your pet.

Good to Chew

As simple as giving a daily treat, great tasting C.E.T. Chews remove plaque and prevent the buildup of harmful bacteria.

Better to Rinse

Chlorhexidine-based C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse and C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Gel can provide effective plaque control without brushing. Simply insert the applicator tip into the area between the teeth and the cheek and apply.

Best to Brush!

Of course, just as it is for use, toothbrushing is the best method of ensuring that our pets will enjoy good dental health. Daily brushing with C.E.T. Toothpastes and C.E.T. Toothbrushes provides the very best in Home Dental Care for your pet. C.E.T. Toothpastes are specifically formulated to be safe, effective, and appealing to your dog or cat, and unlike "people" toothpastes, are meant to be swallowed. C.E.T. Toothbrushes are designed to reach all surfaces of your pet's teeth and the soft bristles will not irritate your pet's sensitive gums. Just a few minutes a day are all it takes for the best dental care available.

Rinse daily following each meal or as directed by your veterinarian. Hold bottle in the upright position, below your pet's field of vision. Gently elevate the upper lip to expose the teeth and gums. Point and squeeze to apply a gentle stream of C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse. Avoid touching the gum with the nozzle to avoid any injury in case of movement of your pet.

Made my dog vomit I tried this on my small dog (Miniature pinscher/Dachshund) as recommended by my vet, due to bad breath from crowded teeth and chronic upper respiratory infections. I was only able to use once due to it causing my dog to vomit. Obviously not happy with the product. August 14, 2013
