"Milk thistle extract has been shown to have hepatoprotective effects; it has other antioxidant effects and also suppresses the ability of some tumors to acquire a blood supply. What is most remarkable about it, though, is its insolubility, which makes it difficult to benefit from it. That's why this phytosome product is preferable to other forms: it will actually dissolve and allow your body to absorb the flavonoids and use them. The only concern I have about Vitacost is whether their products are of Chinese origin or not."

"Excellent version of the most efficacious milk thistle used in clinical trials. Capsules are small and easy to take. As a patient awaiting a liver transplant, Vitacost provides an excellent supply of medical quality Siliphos. I can only await a larger size bottle to improve the values."
