Vitacost Pea Protein Vanilla -- 28.4 oz (1 lb 12.4 oz) (805 g) - Non-GMO
Have used several protein powders, this one has a strange taste. Even when mixed with fruit, the strong taste comes through. Disappointed.

For the first time trying it, It was great.
Everyone says that protein suppliments usually don't taste good; but this tasted better than I thought it would, it's not great, but it is easily palatble when mixed only with water (as a protein suppliment after working out). I am using this as a suppliment after working out, I have yet to use it for baking or cooking, as I am away from home; but with what I am using it for, I have noticed that (with eating well and varied sources of protien with my normal meals) my recovery time between workouts is shortening, and my workouts are improving on the following evenings. As far as the texture goes, it has a slightly gritty texture, like you are drinking a malt, over a shake. All in all, I'm pleased with this product, and it is a great alternative, and a healthy one, for me, as I'm lactose intolerant.

This was my first experience with a protein powder. I needed a gluten free one. I like the taste and when added to my smoothie it enhances it both with more flavor and better texture. I really shopped around and the price at Vitacost was excellent as well.

Good, does the job
This new Vitacost Vanilla Pea Protein is not as good as the one they had previously, but it works for a vegan & soy free protein boost. The flavor is decent; the texture a bit chalky. Good blended with almond milk, cocoa powder & frozen bananas. My husband has a physically demanding job, & takes this at both breakfast & lunch & says he feels the difference.
