Weleda Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil -- 1.7 fl oz
Good for VERY curly hair
I have very curly hair. (sorry I don't know the number & letter) I am Afro-American with a naturally mixed heritage and mixed up hair textures. On top of that my hair is graying from dark brown which adds on still another texture. I've used this pleasant smelling oil for c. 7 years. I usually use it in conjunction with a natural creamy moisturizing leave-in conditioner. This oil is perfect for getting my hair to look shiny and darkens it (which isn't a bad thing for graying me) as it seals the cuticle so it no longer appears frizzy or dry looking. I cannot get the same shiny, light weight curls with just a leave-in and believe me I have tried enough brands to know that leave-in hasn't been created yet. No matter if you use it alone or with something else, use it sparingly until you get the right amount for your hair texture and length. I always apply it on very damp (but not dripping wet hair) especially if I use it alone -- always warming it by rubbing it lightly in my palms first.

Perfect for dry coarse hair.
I've purchased this product twice...the first time I didn't really understand how to use it and I thought it was too heavy or greasy, but now I know it was because I was using WAAAY too much of the product. The bottle doesn't have a dropper so it's difficult to pour out only 2-3 drops of the oil at a time. I found the best way to avoid getting too much oil is to cover the opening with your thumb (or palm) and tilt it back once...that makes about 2-3 drops worth of oil, then I just rub it between my palms & apply to damp or dry hair. And if I need more I can just repeat that process. My hair is very dry & thick, so it might be too much for someone with thin/fine hair.
The oil is also great as an overnight mask & it washes out easy.

good smell, but what's the point?
clearly i'm in the minority here, but i don't really see the benefit of this stuff. I thought it would be less greasy & more stimulating or "conditioning" to the scalp, but it's just really oil. you put it on your scalp, then your hair is greasy.

Great for the winter to keep hair moisturized
I use this stuff mostly in the winter and it keep my hair soft and moisturized. Plus its easy for me to style my hair with it because it doesn't "comb out" like other products.

My favorite hair oil
I have tried many different natural and professional oils and did not like them. Either they were heavily fragranced, had silicones in them or were greasy. Weleda is the best hair oil in my opinion. You have to use it sparingly, depending on hair thickness and length, otherwise it might look greasy. I use two drops after washing into my wet hair (midshaft towards ends) and then two more drops midshaft through ends on dry hair. It makes my hair smooth and silky, prevents split ends and breakage. I love the herbal smell of it. I do not care for sweet or artificial smells and I admire all Weleda products due to the quality and essential oil smell. This also works great as a pre-wash oil treatment.
