Yogourmet Probiotic Yogurt Freeze-Dried Starter Description

  • Contains: Casei, Bifidus, Acidophilus
  • Live Cultures and Active Cultures


Use 5 g of starter per liter or quart of milk. 

  1. Heat one litre or quart of milk to 180 F or bring to the boiling point. Cool to 73-77 F.
  2. Dissolve 5 g of culture in a small amount of the cooled milk in a cup. Pour back into the litre or quart and mix well.
  3. Incubate in your Yogourmet II or Multi yogurt maker for 12 to 15 hours, or until the yogurt has reached the desired firmness.
  4. Refrigerate to stop the process

 The yogurt used to determine the nutrition value was made with vitamin A&D fortified 2% milk.

Very good and easy to use I have used this starter the last 4 months. I make yogurt every week and this has a good consistancy and flavor. I leave my yogurt for 24 hours, add honey and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. August 18, 2014
unsuccessful I'm trying to find out what had gone wrong. This did not turn out so well - I only got a runny liquid yoghurt. like milk mixed a little cream....all three times failure.... August 14, 2014
