  1. Prepare barley according to package instructions using suggested water-to-barley ratio.
  2. To pot containing cooked barley, stir in cinnamon, honey, applesauce and milk. Heat on medium heat 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Serve topped with chopped apple.
Recipe Notes
  • For added flavor, mix in nutmeg and pinch of ginger.
  • Instead of apples, use any fruit of choice. This would be delicious paired with peaches, raspberries or cherries.
  • Substitute oat milk with any milk desired including whole dairy milk, coconut milk or almond milk.
