  1. In small saucepan, combine ingredients over low heat, whisking often until smooth and heated through. Do not boil.
  2. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm temperature.
  3. Serve in mug or bowl.
Recipe Notes

Get fancy with a little froth! Use a milk frother or whipped cream dispenser to top your furbaby’s hot chocolate. Go one step further and dust the froth with a little peanut butter powder.

Most dogs can’t process the lactose in dairy products well. It may be better to use a non-dairy alternative. Oat milk and coconut milk are great options.

IMPORTANT

Never feed your dog or cat chocolate, including cocoa powder. It contains theobromine which is extremely toxic to pets.
