Cooking Instructions
For a delicious hot cereal, bring 3 cups milk or 2-½ cups water to boil and slowly stir in ½ cup of Kasha, add ¼ tsp. salt and a little butter. Boil 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with milk or cream and honey. Serves 4.
Microwave Instructions
For 1-2 servings: Boil 1 cup water or broth in 2-cup glass container. Add 1 tsp. butter ½ tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and ¼ cup Kasha. Cover with plastic wrap. Heat to boiling then switch to Defrost setting for 4-½ minutes. Spread out on a plate, put back in microwave and heat uncovered 2 minutes on High. Remove and fluff with a fork.
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen.
