Jim's Organic Coffee Whole Bean Colombian -- 12 oz
Not bad but not great
It was fresh and oily when I got my bag. Not dry like some other reviews suggested. But it's not my favorite tasting and so won't order again. But it's worth a try as you might like the flavour. I'm sticking to kicking horse as my tried and true go to.

I guess I got a bad bag?
I read all the 5 star reviews and decided to try a couple of kinds of Jim's coffee. But there was one 1-star review and I totally agree with that person now that I have the coffee - both of the kinds I got (Colombian and Jo-Jo's Java) smells burnt and is bitter. There's no richness to it - it's more thin than rich. I have to double the amount of beans I use just to get it from being weak and bitter to strong and bitter. Also, I think the bag had hung around Vitacost for a while - the beans are dry as if they're old and stale. Normally when I use coffee beans (which I always do), the beans are shiny and almost oily feeling. These fall apart in my hands. Either cooked too long or on the shelf too long. I won't buy Jim's coffee again unless Vitacost can show me some better examples. Back to Starbucks.

Good morning cup o joe
I haven't had a bad product from Jim's organic, love their philosophy and their coffee. This makes a great regular cup or a nice espresso too.
