In mixing bowl, mix together all dough ingredients until large ball of dough forms.
On flat, lightly floured work surface, roll out dough using rolling pin until about ¼-inch thick.
Using roughly 6-inch circular cookie cutter or lid of container, cut out about 8 circles of dough and arrange on sheet pan.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon pizza sauce or marinara on lower half of each circular piece of dough, place pepperoni on top and sprinkle with mozzarella pieces.
Fold upper half of circle over lower half, brush with egg wash, if desired, and seal edges with tines of fork.
Bake about 12 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
