Teeccino Organic Herbal Coffee French Roast -- 11 oz
A Delicious Brew
As everyone says, this is not coffee, but the French Roast is probably the closest Teeccino comes to coffee flavor. Not as earthy or bitter as coffee. It has a rich flavor, but more mild than coffee, with a hint of nuts (although it does not contain nuts). I highly recommend it, even to those who can still drink coffee. It is a delightful beverage in its own right.
NOTE: Teeccino is ground very finely and will clog paper filters. I recommend you use a metal cone filter.

Unbelievably delicious superfood!
I can't believe how delicious and satisfying this is. Tastes and feels a bit like a mix of coffee and cacao. Cold dark mornings & nights in Seattle, (where I'm surrounded by some of the most innovative and delicious coffee roasts in the country), and all I want is a big mug of it to keep me company. I drink it straight with cream & honey, sometimes blending it with coffee and/or roasted dandelion root.
Don't underestimate the potent nutrition of the ingredients, either, especially the unheard-of ramon seed. It's a powerful superfood, nourishing and sustaining; can you think of a better way to start your day?
To top it off, my spirit is uplifted by this blend. The historically significant ramon seed is enjoying a resurgence in central and south america, fueling economic growth with a sustainable native crop. And this is the only blend of Teeccino where EVERY ingredient is organic! For the SAME price as the rest! So fabulous.
Buy it. Not necessarily as a coffee alternative, but as a meal supplement and excellent investment in your own health - and the health of the planet.

great alternetive to coffee
Sometimes in the afternoon I have a taste for a coffee and enjoy Teeccino as an alternetive, it taste great and is good on the stomach. I have different ones in the house, but I think French Roast comes very close to regular coffee. I use my french press and drink it like coffee, it tastes great and has no caffeine.

I'd give it 3 1/2 stars
This isn't coffee so it's best if you don't expect that. BUT it is reminiscent of coffee--more slightly burned diner coffee than good French roast but still it's OK. It tastes better after a few sips too so don't give up right away. Think of it as a kind of tea (but with a much bolder flavor)--it's not coffee, but something you can get used to if you have to give up coffee, and it's better than nothing. All in all, I'm not unhappy with it. I can see maybe doing 1/2 and 1/2 with coffee some day in the future if I can handle the coffee part.
