Got the dinner blues? Jazz up an ordinary weeknight with a quick-to-make jambalaya, which is chock-full of plump shrimp and spicy sausage. You’ll have everyone at the table tapping their feet and singing your praises. Little do they know, this recipe practically cooks itself. Spicy Jambalaya Recipe

Fast & Fiery Jambalaya

Ingredients

1 yellow onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper,chopped
1 lb.pre-cooked, peeled shrimp
1 lb.hot Italian sausage or turkey sausage
2 cups white rice
2 cups chicken broth
6 oz. tomato paste
2 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. black pepper
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Directions

    1. In a large frying pan, simmer the rice and chicken broth.
    2. Chop the onions and peppers, add to the pan and simmer until rice is cooked.
    3. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan, cover and cook on medium heat until shrimp and sausage are fully cooked, about 20 minutes.

Spoon into a large bowl and dig in!
