Awful Taste Does not taste good at all. This is not a complete ready to use instant gravy mix. I have been a vegetarian for more than a decade and used many different gravy mixes before and I can tell you that this product is no good at all unless you could find a way to doctor it up substantially first. The number of servings is a bit misleading. There are 28.8 servings, but the servings are small. 1 ounce of product is blended with 8.4 fluid ounces of water and that is called a serving for four people. Save your money! March 16, 2013

Best Gravy Base! Orgran's Gluten Free Gray Mix made the best gravy without having to use flour! Perfect texture and thickness (not too thick or thin). Seasoning with fresh herbs really added to the flavor too. October 1, 2011

Orgran Gravy Mix Gluten Free Directions

In a small pot add 1 1/2 tablespoon (30g/1 oz) of Orgran Gravy Mix to 250 mL/8.4 fl oz cold water. (Use more or less for thicker or thinner sauce accordingly.)
Continuously stirring, heat until thickening is achieved.
Remove from heat and serve hot over food. (Serves 4)

Microwave Directions:

(Use only as a guide) Microwave ovens vary therefore it may be necessary to adjust cooking times to suit your microwave oven.

In a cup add 1 1/2 tablespoon (30g/1oz) of Orgran gravy mix and stir in approximately 40mL (1.4 fl oz) water.
In a large microwave safe jug add 210mL/7 fl oz water (more or less depending on preferred consistency) and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Slowly whisk in the prepared paste, mix well and microwave on high for 1 minute.
Let stand for approximately 2 minutes before serving.

Variation: Add vegetable juice collected from your baking dish in place of water for extra flavour.

Alternatively add sliced mushrooms with a sprinkle of ground peppercorns or freshly chopped parsley, thinly diced sauteed onions and a splash of red wine.
