1. The benefits are endless

The aloe vera plant, commonly grown in dry climates, contains a gel-like substance rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Because of its consistency and nutrient composition, one of the major benefits of aloe vera gel is its ability to help soothe minor cuts, scrapes, burns and other skin irritations.

2. It’s been around forever!

Although you’ve been rubbing it on your sun-kissed skin for years, the medicinal use of aloe vera dates back as early as 1500 B.C. and it has been used by many different cultures around the world as a natural first aid.

3. So much more than skin care

Due to its calming and moisturizing properties, aloe vera is commonly found in cosmetics, shampoos, lotions, toothpastes and many other common household products. In addition to its topical uses, this gel can also be made into a juice that may help support smooth digestion and normal immune function.

There’s clearly more than enough to love about this spiny green plant. Not only does it taste, feel, and smell amazing (if you’re into those fresh, earthy scents), but aloe vera is excellent for everyday use including for digestion, detox, hair growth and hydration.
