The countdown is on! Only four days remain in 2013, which means you’ve got just three to get your act together for New Year’s Eve. If there’s any night to really glam it up, this is it. Break out the glitter. Braid your hair. Whatever you do, don’t leave home blah  when breathtaking is so easy to achieve! All you need are the right supplies these quick tips to really wow the crowd on this biggest beauty night of the year.

Add sparkle
Champagne won’t be the only thing popping when you ditch the matte shadow and opt for metallic or shimmery shades instead. Eyes should always be the focal point of a made-up face, and dazzling eyeshadows create instant allure and eye-opening effects as they catch and reflect the light.

For smooth, even, long-lasting color, apply  primer first. Use your fingers (not a brush””fibers will absorb the primer) to fully cover your lids from lashline to crease, then tap a light layer upward until you get the look you want. Swipe on bold eyeliner and mascara for added depth and drama.

Add shine
Dull is a big “don’t” on this festive occasion, so get to glossing! Lips, hair, nails, even skin can shine with a few winning additions to your party-body collection. Pucker up for a midnight kiss with Love & Toast Lip Glaze. Set a sexy hairstyle with Giovanni Shine of the Timesâ„¢ Finishing Mist. Go ultra-glossy with a coat of clear Attitude Nail Color from Beauty Without Cruelty over a striking nail shade. And for all-over radiance, try Pure & Basic Glitter Up Natural Shimmering Body Lotion.

Get glowing
Been awhile since you’ve been to the beach? You can still flaunt a glowing, sun-kissed look with self-tanner and mineral bronzer. If trying a product for the first time, test it on an unexposed area first, waiting at least a day to see if the color works for you. You could also go with a gradual tanning moisturizer, such as Palmer’s Natural Bronze Cocoa Butter Formula, to build a natural-looking tan over the course of a few days. Before heading out, use a bronzer brush to swish tinted mineral powder over your cheeks, forehead and shoulders.

Color your world
What better way to celebrate rocking another year than a bright, bold splash of color? Lipstick is the quickest, easiest way to paint yourself pretty. Pick up a bright red shade for a classic look or go with deep, dark burgundy for sexy sophistication. Feeling brave? Try using natural henna dye to add rich, natural color to your hair. Or draw on drama with a Hawaiian Henna Body Paint Kit. (Just remember that swirls and stars will stay put for up the three weeks””so place them carefully!)

Turn natural up a notch
Glitz and glam aren’t for everyone. If drama doesn’t do it for you, enhance your natural beauty by flaunting a fancier hairstyle for the night, wearing a sheer-tint lip gloss or applying a water-based nail polish in a subtle yet sexy shade. Spritz on some Zum Mist and you’ll turn heads without even trying!
