Why is Your Lower Half Still a Trouble Zone?

If there’s one body part a woman could change, 9 out of 10 of us will coyly admit to having issues with our lower body. Ladies, nothing is going to change until you can embrace your trouble zones. Not convinced you can live happily ever after with your lower half? Read on.

Repeat after me: I love my legs, because they’re strong, toned and allow me to walk tall and proud!

Looking for Long, Sexy Legs?
Slather on the love: Glonaturals Argan Collection Body Lotion combines argan oil with skin-calming chamomile, hydrating hyaluronic acid, vitamin D and more!

Whether you already have cat-walk gams or have just a couple inches to lose to fit into pre-baby jeans, your legs are strong and they carry you through even the longest of days. If you appreciate them for nothing else, let it be their function. They serve you well, so you should return the favor.

To keep your legs ““ and glutes ““ looking their best, you obviously need to exercise. Hit the weights”¦like a woman. In case you haven’t noticed all those chicken sticks walking around, most men are clueless on leg day. But you can always take your partner in crime with you on a nice, long hike. Climbing hills is great for building hammies and glutes. And don’t discredit the descent, because stabilizing yourself down the mountain is a great quad workout.

Exercise isn’t enough, though. Believe it or not, a lot of toning happens out of the weight room. That’s why it’s important to get adequate amounts of protein. I suggest fueling up on protein bars and shakes. My favorite, go-anywhere protein bar is the Power Crunch French Vanilla Crème Energy Bars with only 205 calories and a filling 14 grams of protein. For a low-carb powder you can mix with water, shake and run, I prefer ARO Lean Diet Shake in Angel Food Cake. The flavor goes with anything and actually tastes like cake!

Now that you’re all fueled up, try lengthening and strengthening yoga poses. Stretching is not only great for muscle recovery, but it helps reveal that underlying definition. Plus, increased flexibility keeps you limber and agile for virtually ageless legs.

Last but certainly not least, we need to “slather” on the love. The right body lotion can keep your skin soft and glowing, which will only enhance your head-turning legs. I tend to switch up my lotions to give my skin a “mini-workout” so it doesn’t get used to the same old, same old ““ just like I do my muscles. Skin-firming and cellulite-fighting creams are great choices for anyone. My secret salve is Glonaturals Argan Body Lotion, because argan oil is so rich in vitamin E. That would also be why I use Acure Organics Firming Body Lotion Lemongrass Plus Moroccan Argan Oil.
