Gluten-Free Fish Sticks Recipe

Simple Gluten-Free Fish Sticks

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

1 cup almond meal
1 tsp. ground mustard
2 tsp. paprika
½ tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
Oil, for frying
1 lb. firm white fish fillets (like cod), deboned and cut into sticks
Large-flake sea salt, for garnish

Directions

  1. Sift almond meal, spices and salt together in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs. Add almond meal mixture to egg bowl and mix until well combined.
  2. Fill a wide skillet with oil and heat over medium-high heat. Working in small batches, dredge each fish stick in the flour mixture, coating completely and shaking off any excess. Place batch of sticks in the skillet and fry for 2-3 on each side. Be careful not to crowd the skillet with too many sticks at a time.
  3. After cooking, transfer sticks to a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with large flake sea salt.
