Chili Crunch Mix

Lunch has passed and dinner won’t be for a few more hours, but a growling stomach has consumed you…it’s snack time! Regular munchers know how satisfying a good crunch can be to lift you from a midday slump. But if the ordinary bag of potato chips feels mundane, kick it up a notch with classic chili seasoning. The heat of cayenne brings plain cereal squares to life and lingers long enough you’ll forget all about that far-off dinner.

Chili Crunch Mix


2 cups pretzels
2 cups toasted oat o-shaped cereal
2 cups multi-grain, rice or corn square-shaped cereal
2 cups cheese crackers
1 package Simply Organic® Vegetarian Chili Seasoning
1/4 cup salted butter, melted


  1. Preheat oven 325 degrees F.
  2. In large bowl, combine cereals, crackers and pretzels. Mix chili seasoning into melted butter, pour over cereal mixture and gently stir to evenly coat. Spread on ungreased 15-by-10-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and store in airtight container.
  4. Create your own rendition of this mix by substituting bagel chips or mixed nuts for any of the ingredients.
