– Instead of eating fat-laden pork barbecue, marinate chicken breasts with low-carb BBQ sauce. For sides, grill fresh veggies and corn on the cob. And, I can’t have BBQ without coleslaw, but I lighten up the traditional recipe by using low-fat dressing instead of mayonnaise.
– Drink a tall glass of refreshing lemonade — just keep it homemade. Squeeze the juice of fresh lemons and mix with water, ice and stevia (no white sugar needed). It takes a little more elbow grease, but your waistline will thank you later.
– Indulge in a “super” dessert that’s not only delicious but actually nutritious, to boot! Because everyone loves melt-in-your-mouth s’mores, grab a bag of fat-free marshmallows, graham crackers and coconut-flavored cacao bars.
