This simple do-it-yourself post-sun cream is perfect for nurturing your skin after a day outdoors. It’s filled with moisturizing and nourishing ingredients to give your skin some much-needed care and hydration to get you through the summer.
Makes 1/2 cup
Ingredients
1/4 cup pure jojoba oil
1/4 cup pure aloe vera gel
2 tbsp. Vitacost Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, melted
2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil (I prefer lavender, citrus, spearmint or rose!)
Directions
- In blender, puree jojoba oil and aloe vera gel. Add coconut oil and essential oil and blend on low to combine.
- Pour mixture into sealable container such as a mason jar.
- Apply directly onto skin after sun exposure. Note: If mixture solidifies, bring container with you to warm up slightly when you head outdoors!
