DIY Pumpkin Face Mask

It’s incredible what you can do with 15 minutes and two basic ingredients. Pumpkin puree and honey, which you probably already have in your pantry, are all you need to nourish, soothe and clear your complexion. These nutrient powerhouses provide free-radical-fighting antioxidants, acne-taming vitamin A and oil-controlling zinc. Once a week, mix up this simple face solution, let your skin drink in the goodness and rinse off to reveal the perfect glow.

DIY Pumpkin Face Mask

Makes 1 application

Ingredients

1 spoonful organic pumpkin puree
1 spoonful Manuka honey

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, add pumpkin and honey and stir until well combined.
  2. Using a makeup brush or your fingers, apply mask to entire face, being careful of the eye area.
  3. Let mask set for 10-15 minutes. It will feel like it’s starting to dry up.
  4. Rinse off and pat skin dry.

Tip #1: You can make more of this mask to store for later. Simply mix more pumpkin and honey together at about a 1:1 ratio.

Tip #2: Manuka honey comes from a very specific region of the world and has unique nutrient qualities. That being said, any raw honey will work well for this recipe. I use YS Eco Bee Farms Raw Honey for a lot of beauty (and food) recipes.
