My weekend thus far has involved roof repair, wasp nests, the discovery of a giant water stain in the baby’s room and the World Expo of Ants Convention–taking place in our bathroom, because, I guess, the Las Vegas Convention Center was booked. (Note to self: destroy all evidence of this blog if and when we ever put our house on the market.) It also has involved those #@#$% 2-year molars, which means no one is sleeping.
While killing ants and Dustbustering their corpses in the middle of the night, my husband got bitten by some kind of cleaning bug (or maybe it was just an ant), and now all science experiments in the back of the fridge and sofa lint is all out in the open for me to clean up, too.
Meanwhile, my Facebook wall is crammed with pictures of people eating out at restaurants, having picnics and frolicking about on the beach. Some of these people also have children and houses. I’m not sure how they managed to swing the picnics and beach frolicking, but I’m jealous.
