Green Tea Protein Latte

Matcha is a type of green tea that’s ground into a fine, brightly colored powder. You may have been introduced to matcha at your favorite Japanese restaurant, where they serve green tea ice cream as an après-sushi treat. Though delicious as dessert, you can also enjoy this ancient jewel at breakfast. Combing the antioxidant power of matcha and the energizing benefits of whey, this green tea drink has a “latte” offer.

Recipe: Green Tea Protein Latte

Ingredients

1 1/2 Tbsp. AboutTime Cinnamon Swirl Whey Protein
1 tsp. pure matcha green tea powder
7 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 oz hot water
1 packet stevia

Directions

1. In a mug, mix hot water and matcha green tea powder.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, steam and whisk together almond milk, protein powder and stevia until foamy.
3. Pour frothy milk mixture over matcha tea, top with extra matcha powder and drink up!
