			Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour or regular flour
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- ½ tsp. ginger
- ¼ tsp. ground clove
- ⅛ tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. pink salt
- ½ cup applesauce
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. egg replacer + 2 Tbsp. water, or 1 whole egg
Instructions
- 
										Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 12 wells of muffin pan with black paper cups. 
- 
										In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, spices, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
- 
										Stir in remaining ingredients.
- 
										Add 3 tablespoons batter per muffin cup.
- 
										Bake 15-18 minutes until toothpick inserted into center of muffin comes out clean.
- 
										To decorate, cut out bats with black construction paper. Tape bats to toothpicks and place into muffins.
