Forget about the candy—this Halloween is all about getting creative in the kitchen! This 5-ingredient dish appears to be a scary mess of slimy black worms, creepy witch fingers and gore, but it’s actually a well-balanced meal that’s just as much fun to make as it is to eat! When the time comes to plate the meal, call the kiddos over and let their imaginations run wild as they pile their favorite ingredients onto the petrifying pasta!

Ingredients

1 box Explore Cuisine black bean spaghetti, cooked and drained
1 jar Alfredo sauce
1 jar red marinara sauce
8 white carrots
Fresh basil

Directions

  1. To make the frightening phalanges, peel carrots then carve with small knife into finger-bone shape. Steam until al dente. Set aside.
  2. In separate saucepans, heat marinara and Alfredo over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Place warm black bean spaghetti in center of four serving plates.
  4. Ladle Alfredo sauce over the center of the spaghetti and arrange carrot phalanges over the sauce.
  5. Splatter marinara sauce over the entire dish (think spooky splattered blood!) and garnish with basil. Serve before trick-or-treating!

Note: There will be extra sauce left over.
