This blog is called The Bombshell Mommy, as you know. So, in honor of Mother’s Day, I want to talk about why being a mom is the sexiest thing on Earth. Wipe that look off your face. I see it. You’re thinking, “Not with these stretch marks and saggy boobs or my koala pouch belly.” I don’t want to hear it. We are beautiful because we are mothers, not in spite of the fact.

We are strong. We have fought, and conquered, mental and physical battles that our less-experienced counterparts couldn’t imagine. We’ve learned, first hand, the beauty of what the female body can create””surviving weeks, if not months, of nausea and food aversions, followed by ravenous hunger and the exponential growth of our bellies as we nourished an entire other being inside of us.

We are beautiful. Some of our bodies are straight and narrow, like the lanes of a freeway, built for speed and excitement. While others are a long and winding road with unexpected turns and curves that allow travelers to take in the scenery. Yet, every one of us makes for an amazing ride.

We are intriguing. The mysterious intricacies of our form embody everything feminine and tempting. We’re full of secret compartments and hidden treasures. If the journeyman doesn’t strike gold, it’s only because he isn’t prepared for the adventure, not because there isn’t actually a pot of gold.

We are confident. Think about how we understand our bodies now, versus what we once thought we knew. Before, the G-spot was a riddle wrapped in a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Now, you call out, “A little to the left, no, wait, yep, here we go!”

We are brilliant. We bring home the bacon, fry it up and do the dishes, all while giving a practice spelling test and packing lunches for tomorrow. We help our children navigate the treacherous world of middle school politics, while also serving as an intelligent and compassionate sounding board for our friends and loved ones. The depth of our love knows no floor, and our wisdom knows no bounds.

This Mother’s Day, when those flowers arrive at your door or that card appears on your pillow, take a moment to acknowledge how amazing you are. In honor of your awesomeness, you may consider getting yourself a present. Our most popular sexual health product is the fantastic butterfly kiss toy, and ladies, it’s popular for a reason. This is much more fun than breakfast in bed. Just sayin’!
